For Fall/Winter 2026, Fortela continues its partnership with Manteco, the historic Tuscan textile company founded in 1943.
At the heart of the collection is wool. A limited selection of garments brings together Fortela’s approach to timeless clothing with Manteco’s generations of textile expertise and the wool-making tradition of the Casentino Valley.
Casentino Wool - Manteco x Fortela
Where It Begins
The story begins in Tuscany, where Alessandro Squarzi returned to Manteco in search of the fabrics that would define the Fall/Winter collection.
This season, that journey extends to Casentino Lane, the historic spinning mill in the Casentino Valley recently acquired by Manteco. A place shaped by wool for centuries, Casentino represents one of Tuscany’s most enduring textile traditions.
A Tradition In Wool
Long valued for its warmth, resilience and protection from the elements, wool remains at the heart of the region’s identity.
Drawing from this heritage, Manteco creates fabrics defined by texture, depth and natural character, qualities that become the foundation of some of Fortela’s most distinctive Fall/Winter garments.
